MY ROOM – David Ryan, an award winning photo – journalist for the Boston Globe arrives at Suffolk University to discuss the challenges as well as what it takes to be a photojournalist.
Having worked at the Boston Globe for over forty-eight years, David Ryan has been able to obtain the much-needed experience, and use it to his advantage in society today. The distinguished cameraman had covered up to forty marathons, but was unfortunate enough to experience the tragedy that took place on April 15, 2013, when two homemade bombs were detonated during the marathon. Despite the catastrophe, Ryan was able to get an outstanding image of the second bomb going off. David Ryan can be described as a “Go Getter”, but who better to give him the name than himself.
